We are biblical based, inclusive, relational, and multi-generational of believers in Christ. We believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures,  the equality of all persons, unity in diversity, and the priesthood of all believers. In communion with and through the power of the the Holy Spirit, we speak the truth in love share the good news of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship, missions, and ministries.

We hold to the Baptist distinctives and historic beliefs and practices that have prevailed among Baptists Churches.  We stand in general accord with beliefs characteristic among Baptist churches. We are autonomous and independent body of Jesus Christ, and independently governed by our own elected Executive members and her own congregation.

We recognize and sustain the obligation of mutual counsel and cooperation with any Baptist Churches of like faith and any association or convention for the propagation of the gospel, religious education, benevolence and other Christian efforts. We cooperates with and mutually work with Kachin American Baptist Association (KABA) and Southern Baptist of Texas Convention (SBTC) for common fellowship and partnership ministries in the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2020, we affiliates with American Baptist Churches Nebraska for furtherance of the ministries and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

AT DALLAS KACHIN BAPTIST CHURCH:

  • We seek to serve God and humanity in the name of Jesus Christ as we believe that the Lord of the church is calling Christians everywhere to strive toward unity; and therefore it will seek, and work for, unity at all levels of church life: through relationships with other Baptist churches and other denominational traditions.
  • We strive to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and, see lives transformed, nourished, and grow together in Christ’s love. DFW-KBC shall serve as the center for spiritual nourishment of Kachin and all people in our community and nationwide in the USA.
  • We declare that “Jesus Christ is Lord” (Phi. 2:10), and that “He is The Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6), and to “make disciple of all Nations” (Mt. 28:18-20).
  • We constitute, establish and maintain a church for the promotion and advancement of: (a) worship and the spiritual development and well-being of individuals, (b) the worship of God and the observance of the Christian ordinances, (c) the study of Christian principles and the practice of the Christian life as revealed and taught in the New Testament, (d) the salvation of the lost at home and abroad and (f) maintaining Kachin culture and identify and the allotted fund shall use for those advancements as approved by the Executive Board members.

OUR BASIC BELIEFS:

  • THE BIBLE– We believe the Bible is inerrant, infallible, and eternal. It is the supreme standard and authority by which everything is to be measured and held accountable, especially our faith and lifestyle.
  • GOD– We believe that God is eternal, sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful and all-present. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, yet without division of nature, essence, or being.
  • JESUS CHRIST– We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, who was born of a virgin, who was sinless, who died for our sins, who arose bodily and who will return visibly.
  • SALVATION-We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and salvation is a permanent work of God.
  • THE CHURCH, UNIVERSAL & LOCAL– We believe the church (universal & local) is the body of Christ made up of born-again believers united by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and living in submission to the Word of God, and sent into the world to shine the glory of God. We believe local church is an autonomous body of believers who are in doctrinal harmony to obey Christ, teach the Bible, share the gospel with the unsaved, encourage one another and help believers mature in the Lord.
  • ORDINANCES, BAPTISM & LORD’S SUPPER– We believe that baptism (for believers only) is by full immersion to reflect the picture of one’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection (Rom. 6:1-14). We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of the Lord’s death for us (1 Cor. 11:23-31). Both are local church ordinances to be observed by the members of a local church.
  • ETERNITY– We believe that heaven (for the saved) and hell (for the unsaved) are literal places and are both permanent and eternal.
  • THE GREAT COMMISSION– We believe the gospel is to be shared with everyone. It is the responsibility of every believer to be a faithful witness and to support missions. It is the work of the Holy Spirit through the presentation of the gospel that will draw the elect to faith in Christ.
